I gaze fixedly at the sky with cold eyes
merveilles is an album by the Japanese Visual Kei band MALICE MIZER, released in (year). At this point in time, the band's five members were Gackt Camui, Mana, Közi, Yu-Ki, and Kami. Although the band has broken up, this album remains one of their best, with several expanded re-releases. There are twelve songs on the album, as follows. (The names will eventually be replaced with the correct kanji, romanji, and translations.)
- ~ de merveilles
- Syunikiss ~nidome no aitou~
- Bel Air
- ILLUMINATI
- Brise
- Yuge ~Sugisarishikazetotomi~
- au revior
- Ju te veux
- S-CONSCIOUS
- Le ciel
- Gekka no Yasoukyoku
- Bois de merveilles
My personal favorite song on the album is Syunikiss ~nidome no aitou~, mainly because it's an absolutely beautiful song.
A few minor notes and such:
- ~ de merveilles is an instrumental piece, and to be honest it's more like a combination of random real-life sounds than anything else. Listening to it and then Syunikiss ~nidome no aitou~ is kind of a surprise, which might've been their point.
- S-CONSCIOUS is sung entirely in English. However, it isn't remotely grammatically correct. Engrish ftw! (An example is the lyrics at the top of this layout, which are straight from the song.)
- Bel Air's full name (with romanji) is actually Veru • Eru ~Kuhakunotokinonaka~; I don't really know why it's also called Bel Air, but my guess is that it's meant to go with the French theme.
- Syunikiss ~nidome no aitou~ has English lyrics in it, but in all the times I've listened to the song I've never really been able to pick them out. XD Gackt mumbles.
I am going to make this a more thorough tribute; step one is scanning the album insert thing (the pictures are REALLY pretty, even if they are all crossdressers) and then I'll find lyrics and such online. And yeah. But until then you're stuck with this slightly boring thing. Sorry~! Actually, it's a lot better than some of my other temp pages, so be happy for that, I guess. XD
